Position Posted OEM Sales Director, Asia Pacific12 Aug 08 Company DescriptionSafeNet, the world leading information security provider, is seeking for an OEM Sales Director to join our Asia Pacific team. Reporting functionally to the Vice President, Asia Pacific, you will be both a manager and a hunter to create, develop and execute OEM sales strategies in your assigned territories.

OEM Sales Director, Asia Pacific Managing the field of sales team, you will devise OEM sales strategies to maximize revenue for the company. Your efforts could include deeper and wider penetration of existing accounts, breaking into a completely new account, and in some cases creating new business models. Delivering consistent revenue performance with opportunistically look at the market for breakout revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities:
To be responsible for Embedded Security Revenue (OEM and DRM products) in the Asia Pacific region.

To generate accurate and realistic forecasts.

To develop C-level relationships with key customers and partners in the assigned territory.

To establish sound working relationships with product management and resources across the company.


Requirements:

Education:
University Degree with technical background will be a plus.

Master degree is preferable


Experience:
More than 12 years OEM sales experience in IT industries with at least 6 years at direct/major account sales

Strong background in embedded solution sales, with focus on hardware, software and IP products with experience working directly with strategic accounts.

Experience in managing all aspects of the sales cycle including prospecting, development of the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of the account plans.

Experience in working with multi-element revenue models which include both one time and recurring revenue streams, and which may include multiple products.


Skills:
Capable of closing complicated OEM deals from discovering sales opportunities to contract completion.

Existing relationships with OEMS, Network Appliance Mfrs, and ASIC mfrs in the APAC region.

Familiarity with OEM/Embedded sales and network security products.

Comfortable being an active participant in highly technical discussions and able to collaboratively work with Sales Engineer to ensure commercial goals are achieved within territory.

Sales driven with strong track record of closing big ticket item deals.

Ability to communicate with senior management of very large enterprises for sales and new product launch.

Excellent communications and presentation skills in English.

Strong marketing sense and vision.

Willing to take frequent overseas trips up to 50% in a year.

Ability to thrive under pressure.

Experience in working with clients in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan is mandatory
