The Acccuntant will report to the Financial Controller and is responsible for the company's accounting operations.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Responsible for General Ledger Accounting and financial closing for the various entities under CNBC Asia Pacific

Manage the full set of accounts – JE entries, accruals, fixed assets

Oversee and coordinate the payment processing as well as invoicings/billings with the Finance Shared Resource Team

Prepare Quarterly / Monthly GBS Online Account Reconciliation

Prepare Balance Sheet review

Prepare weekly cash forecast and identify weekly foreign currencies needs.

Handle all GE Trade Request System (TRS) transactions and liaise with GE Japan Middle Office for any treasury related matters.

Annual hedging exercise preparation and tracking

Prepare and submission of quarterly GST Returns

Prepare CFOA forecast and Balance Sheet Forecast (All estimates, quarter closing, S1, S2 and OP)

Liaise with Tax agent on Statutory tax filing, perform Income Tax computation, Deferred Tax computation, and prepare tax schedules.

Liaise with Auditors on audit matters, and Audit schedules preparation.

Prepare quarterly, half yearly & Adhoc Statistics & Survey

Liaise and coordinate with other CNBC entities in the region for financials matters

Assist the Controller on other adhoc assignments.


Qualifications / Requirements:

Accountancy Degree with 2 - 4 years relevant working experience / Accountancy Diploma with 4 to 6 years relevant working experience

Proficient in MS Office suite , working knowledge in SAP would be an added advantage

Experience working in a multi-national company preferred

GE FMP / external audit experience in large multi-nationals would be a plus

Requirements:

Degree in Banking & Finance


Min 5 years’ relevant working experience in syndications, credit and/or corporate and institutional banking with strong credit exposure and proficiency as well as experience in documentation


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Analytical, meticulous and able to perform under pressure


2) Compliance +- Manager / Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

Provides advice on compliance issues on various banking functions to management


Ensure contract and policies are in compliance with banking standards and procedures as well as with general banking protocols and laws


Provides support and guidance to various business units including but not limiting to product compliance, anti-money laundering, branch examinations, etc.


Monitoring of legislation and regulatory policies and practices for legal compliance


Requirements:

Degree in Banking & Finance


Legal background will be an added advantage


Min 5 years’ work experience in a compliance role in a bank


Well developed and advanced knowledge in the compliance function of a bank


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


3) Credit +- Manager / Assistant Manager ( 1 year contract )

Responsibilities:

Prepare applications and reviews to the respective approval authorities


Prepare loan and other related documentation issues in compliance with credit procedures and policies


Monitoring the credit standing and providing value added analysis to identify risks


Requirements:

Graduate in related discipline


Min 5 years’ relevant working experience in analyzing corporates and working on documentation


Credit analysis experience / training as well as experience in other areas of banking (esp. Trade Finance) will be an added advantage

4) Business Analyst ( 1 year contract )

Responsibilities:

Support in Developing a Business plan for Bank’s regional expansion with focus on relationship management driven business with regional Corporates and FIs.


Assistance in developing board strategy papers for future expansions


Support in conceptualizing and presenting process optimization ideas


Support in formalizing regional office policies on transfer pricing and shadow accounting for overlapping Relationship/ Product managers


Other assigned integration / streamlining projects


Requirements:

MBA or equivalent


Min 2 years’ relevant working experience and exposure to Financial services / consulting is preferred


Strong understanding of banking sector


Excellent presentation & communication skills


Drive to solve complex management issues

Proficient in MS Word and PPT as well as research techniques
