Project Manager - Asia Pacific Post Date: 05 Jun 09Intellectual Ventures Infrastructure is seeking a highly competent Project Managerto manage on-going growth projects of its infrastructure on a global scale, with specific emphasis in the Asia Pacificregions. A consummate communicator, able to multi-task several high priority projects while balancing competing demands. Ability to prepare cost forecasting, project proposals, review SOW’s, manage vendors, and keep projects on time and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The PM will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle.

-- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

-- Strong vendor management

-- Good background in MPLS networks, routers, switches, firewalls

-- Design experience in distributed computing environment

-- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

-- Assist in release scoping (selecting enhancements based on business priority, resource availability, and interdepartmental impacts)

Create detailed work breakdown structure for all phases of the project.
Create MS-Project project plan for releases.
Create Quality Assurance Plan.
Participate in project phase reviews.
Manage change control process.
Maintain issue list and report project status.
Coordinate technical analysis and design activities.
Manage assigned projects successfully, on time, on budget, and within scope.
Skills, Education & Experience

3-5 years experience managing cross-functional teams and infrastructure projects for technology organizations.
Gather business requirements, and match solution as a best fit to those requirements.
Gather IT requirements and initiatives, and match solutions as a best fits to those requirements.
Good understanding of IT infrastructure, network routing, systems architecture, Microsoft applications and infrastructure, and IT sustainment activities.
Understanding of MOF and/or ITIL processes a plus.
Experience managing custom large-scale projects crossing international boundaries required.
Bachelors Degree in business or technical field required.
Proficiency in MS-Project software required.Project Server experience a plus.
Project Management Institute Certification a plus.
Position demands a team attitude and the ability to work in a rapidly changing and demanding environment.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others.
Good written and verbal communication skills appropriate for all levels of the organization from executives to staff.
Attention to detail and the ability to work under deadline constraints.
IT Security background a plus.
