Responsibilities
Perform installation and configuration of databases (Oracle or MS SQL), system upgrades and performance tuning
Administer, monitor and manage customers' database systems and servers
Ensure the reliability and availability of the database systems
Design and implement high availability solutions such as Oracle RAC and Data Guard
Implement database backup solutions (RMAN, Veritas Backup, clone disk...)
Requirements
At least 2 years experience as an Oracle DBA (Oracle 10g or 11g) or MS SQL DBA (SQL 2005 or 2008)
Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, PL/SQL or MS SQL replication required
Experience in Windows Server 2003 administration and/or UNIX shell scripting is advantageous
Experience with other RDBMS products like DB2 is advantageous
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Meticulous
Good communication skills
Able to work independently
Good work attitude and willing to learn
