Singapore - Technical Support Engineer

Technical Support Engineer Post Date: 01 May 09The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for handling customer questions and complaints with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to address customer issues with one call resolution. You will provide telephone-based support to end users on network and software related issues. Experience in a call centre environment as well as familiarity with general troubleshooting of networking software related problems is an added advantage for this position.

In this position you will identify, research and resolve technical problems based on pre-established guidelines, document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution, identify patterns of failure and symptoms of underlying issues and work with network and systems engineers in problem resolution.

You will be part of a best-in-class call centre environment team that provides the best possible support to our customers. A Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements for this position:

-- Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS

-- Familiarity with network technologies such as SMTP, POP, IMAP, HTTP

-- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-- Self-motivated and team-oriented

-- Demonstrates ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment

-- Fundamental experience in troubleshooting network and software problems.

-- Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
