Responsibilities:
Facilities Engineer
Develop and implement best practices for facilities operations and maintenance
Implementation of new requirements pertaining to clients’ needs
Provide 24x7 standby support / response and perform maintenance activities for infrastructure
Fault response, troubleshooting and incident management of reported / detected facilities faults
Develop best practices and implement routine checks on infrastructure e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection and Security systems.
Troubleshooting and fault resolution of reported/detected
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance activities to infrastructure.
Assist in the planning and improvement / enhancement of infrastructure.
Facilities Manager
Customer’s cross-connection
Installation of new or pre-laid cables & planning of their product backbone capacity
Knowledge of backup services
Hardware installation/migration, scheduled testing for customers
Fault response, troubleshooting and incident management of reported / detected faults
Maintenance of their product equipment (non facilities)
Requirements:
For Engineer:
Bachelor degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management or related field.
5 year experience in either Data Centre or Wafer Fab. facilities management and operations Environment
Experience in critical facilities / data centre Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) system operations e.g. HT 22KV, UPS design, Chiller system and CRACs,.. and Fire Protection
Experience with Building Management System (BMS)
Familiar with M&E Code of practice and Fire Safety procedures
For Manager:
Bachelor degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field.
6+ years experience in operations which should include 3+ years of supervisory experience;
Familiar with ITIL, ISO 27001 standards
Advantageous to have Network Certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/JNCIE) / Telco Certification (Juniper/Nortel/Huawei…etc) / Structured cabling knowledge
Customer focus with good communications and interpersonal skills
Leadership skills and ability to manage and supervise the project team
Good project management skills and problem solving skills
Computer knowledge, familiar with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
Extensive knowledge or experience in telco technologies, transmission systems and circuits
Extensive knowledge or experience in various network and ISP equipment platform (Network/routers/switches/hub & multiplexer equipment) and ability to handle different test equipment (BERT, Cable (copper & fiber), Ethernet tester and network analyzer)
