Singapore - PLANNING & CONTRACTS OFFICER

PLANNING & CONTRACTS OFFICER Post Date: 03 Mar 09Responsibilities:

The candidate is required to assist the Planning & Contracts Manager in areas of quantity surveying, contract administration and project management for term contracts, cyclical and upgrading works within the Town Council’s estates. He/She shall be tasked to carry out the following duties:-

-- Conduct site studies to determine the scope of work

-- Prepare, call for and evaluate tenders

-- Supervise repairs & replacement, repainting, re-roofing and improvement works

-- Value works in progress and prepare variations and progress payment

Requirements:

-- Diploma in Building/Civil & Structural Engineering with min. 2 years of site and contract administration experience, preferably in Town Council environment

-- Registered RTO with BCA/IES preferred, however, candidate without this certification will be considered. Fresh Diploma Holders are welcomed

-- Extensive experience and good knowledge of all construction quantity survey functions

-- Responsible, independent, motivated and a good team player
