Job Duties
Responsible for assisting the Head of Compliance (Singapore) in executing compliance responsibilities
Keep abreast of/monitor changes of relevant laws and regulations. Understand its implications and prepare impact analysis/recommend changes to Company’s operations
Develop policies and procedures to facilitate compliance with laws, regulations and rules and Company’s policies, procedures and standards and industry best practice, and monitor for compliance with these policies and procedures
Develop/ review/ update and assist in implementation of policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
Remain conversant with local and relevant global regulations and regulatory developments, including providing responses to consultations with regulatory bodies
Update and maintain compliance documentation including manuals, compliance notices, rules database, and compliance plans
Conduct periodic desk reviews of the firm’s activities, perform compliance monitoring program.
Develop relevant training and briefing materials
Any other job duties which the supervisor may delegate from time to time
Requirements
Degree in Accountancy/Business/Law
7 +- 10 years of relevant experience in corporate compliance or audit or relevant regulatory bodies.
Experience in financial institutions and regulators is preferred
Compliance/internal audit experiences gained from a major financial institution, accounting firm or regulatory authority would be an added advantage
