Our client is an international and major insurance firm with a long history. The firm, with its international reach is building its reputation in innovation in Singapore, introducing new and innovative products with unique features.
A search is now on for an Actuarial Manager (Local Reporting). The incumbent will largely be responsible for local reporting, participate in the production of business plan.
The Actuarial Manager is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
• To assist the Appointed Actuary in actuarial matters related to Actuarial Valuation, RBC, Financial Condition Analysis & Stress Test, Dividend Recommendation, Local Capital Plan and Audit.
• To assist the Appointed Actuary in the interaction with the MAS, LIA and CPF as required.
• To conduct actuarial experience studies and work with pricing actuary to recommend appropriate assumptions.
• To lead the actuarial staff supporting local reporting to deliver quality results.
• To ensure the smooth operation in all local reporting functions.
• To produce quality internal and external valuation reports on a timely basis.
• To strengthen and enhance the valuation environment such as models, valuation methods, processes, checks and procedures.
• To be abreast of emerging standards with a focus on sound recommendation and compliance in conjunction with Auditors and Regional Office.
You should have a Degree specializing in actuarial science with a minimum 5 years experience from Life Insurance industry with at least 2 years in management position, and a fellowship member of an accredited actuarial organization.
