Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all quality aspects related to suppliers in the region. The individual will drive supplier improvements to achieve 100% quality.
Primary responsibilities include analyzing, measuring and reporting supplier performance and implementing corrective actions and/or quality plans at supplier sites to prevent repeat non-conformances.
The position will also provide strong support to Commodity Management by performing quality system and/or process audits on existing and potential new suppliers and assisting in supplier cost savings and consolidation initiatives.
Provide leadership with suppliers on defect and waste elimination and process improvement activities.
Responsible to be the liaison on non-conforming material between Production, Quality Assurance, Sustaining and Manufacturing/Test Engineering departments and the supply base.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline required
Five plus years of electro-mechanical experience
International travel/foreign business exposure
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience a plus
Excellent communication skills with internationally located suppliers and the technical organizations
Overseas travel are required
