Singapore - Assistant Director Technical Services

Assistant Director Technical Services Our client is the leading provider of temporary furnished and serviced apartments across the globe with nearly

23,000 furnished and unfurnished residences in 4,000 locations throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

Responsibilities:

-- Require to direct development of master plans, massing concepts and schematic layouts for new serviced apartment projects.

-- To participate with other operating officers, in presentations to prospective owners and in negotiation of terms of Letter of Intents and Pre-opening Services Agreements for new serviced apartment projects.

-- Interview and recommend architects, consultants, and contractors to the project’s design and construction team.

-- Maintain and implement project standards through co-ordination and integration of all approved inputs from the various company divisions and by application of Oakwood’s Design Guidelines & Standards as appropriate.

-- To assume the role of Project Manager on selected projects as required through planning and management of all project activities to ensure that projects are executed within established goals for schedule, budget and quality.

-- Assist operating serviced apartments in the planning and implementation of refurbishment programmes through interaction with Property Managers, Director of Operations and outside consultants and contractors.

-- Require to work with Director of Technical Services, in the preliminary discussions with potential owners and execution of technical services.

-- Require to work with Business Development and Operations team by providing input on design and construction matters; providing feedback on project concepts and agreements.

-- Require to work with other operating officers by providing input relating to design and operation of serviced apartments.

-- Require to work with the appointed legal counsels by providing advice on contract related matters and assisting in the development and negotiations of contracts.

-- Co-ordinates and liaises with Principals of owners/developers, consultants, contractors, vendors, etc. to negotiate and administer contracts; review progress, conduct interviews; product reviews, critique design work and provide design input on behalf of Oakwood.

-- Integrating and influencing the decisions made by various corporate and outside entities relating to project costs, schedules and designs.

-- Require to work with the Director of Operations to resolve the differences between requests of operating divisions and the budgetary and schedule parameters of a refurbishment project.

Requirements:

-- A good Degree or tenure in five star Hotel operations.

-- Handled at least a hotel or a high rise mixed-use construction project, as technical consultant.

-- Would be advantageous to hold some design or construction related qualification

-- Willing to travel
