Technology Specialist - Knowledge Management Post Date: 01 Jun 09The objective of Knowledge Management is to leverage on our organisation’s collective wisdom by creating systems and processes to support and facilitate the identification, capture, dissemination and use of our organisation’s knowledge, as well as the exchange and sharing of ideas to meet our business objectives.

Your role is to assist in the identification and critical evaluation of technologies, the deployment of systems to facilitate KM initiatives and objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to working alongside content managers on the upkeep of the company intranet, and the provisioning of collaborative workspaces. Further development of technologies (databases, user interfaces, etc.) is required at times to expand our service offerings, as well as to support the research and content retrieval services offered by the department.

RequirementsYou should possess the following:-- Fresh degree in IT/Computer Science or Diploma in IT/IS with 1 to 2 years work experience

-- Comfortable with web programming languages (HTML, Javascript, CSS)

-- Ability to write small programs in Microsoft languages (.Net, VB, etc.)

-- Competent in use of Microsoft Access, SQL Server, and writing of SQL statements

-- Knowledge in Microsoft SharePoint is a definite advantage
