Server and Infrastructure Manager Post Date: 05 Jun 09Job Description

Planning and managing Data Centres, and IT Infrastructure i.e., active and passive network and cabling infrastructure
Plan, manage and strategies the construction of Data Centres
Involved in Tender Management, vendor selection and construction management
Planning, review, management and implementation of IT and Telecommunication Network infrastructure
Planning, review, management and implementation of PaBX voice services
Planning and management of phase delivery and setup of data centre hardware including servers, storage devices, backup systems and etc
Plan, coordinate and liaise with main contractor, builders, developers, M&E Consultants, Architects and project managers on all building and construction activities
Identify and recommend main contractor, builders, developers, M&E Consultants, Architects and project managers on construction matters affecting IT implementation
Plan, manage and be fully responsible for all IT and telecommunication related vendors on-site for all delivery, implementation and setup activities
Requirement

Experience with working with High Level management personnel
Run high level meetings with top management and department heads
Demonstrate experience of undertaking similar roles for other clients on projects of similar size
Planning and managing the IT migration for projects of similar size
Experience in Project Management of fast track projects to tight deadlines
Experience in vendor and contractor management
Knowledge and experience in data centre infrastructure setup
Knowledge and experience in data centre facilities requirements and setup (UPS, CRAC, Fire Protection System, VESDA, Power; redundancies setup)
Knowledge in SAN / NAS. (Netapps Filers / EMC storage)
Knowledge in WIN2K Server and Desktop environment
