Job Summary:As a senior web UI engineer in our core engineering team you will play a key role in the definition, design, and implementation of our products.
The ideal candidate will be extremely proficient in the design & implementation of modern web applications & will be an expert in JavaScript, strong in Ajax, strong in semantically rich XHTML & solid in C# or Java application tier development.
Responsibilities:
Assess requirements & estimate time & resources to create solutions
Design, implement and deliver compelling solutions that meet the product requirements
Perform prototyping to validate implementation approaches
Accurately identify, enumerate and estimate work tasks for project schedules that you consistently deliver against on time
Requirements:
B.S. in Computer Science or other relevant technical field
Above 3 years’ commercial experience in Web UI application development
Good understanding for Web 2.0 concept and standards
Advanced sense of User Experience when creating features & widgets
Expert skills in JavaScript & strong in Ajax
Strong skills in supporting CSS across major browsers
Strong skills with semantic XHTML
Strong experience in one or more MVC architectures
Team player with excellent communication & organizational skills & with leading potential
Self-starter that is results focused with the ability to work independently & in teams
Proven track record of producing high quality software against plans & schedules that are being met consistently
Direct experience with jQuery, Prototype, & Scriptaculous
Able to read and speak Mandarin
Experience Desired:
Preference is given to candidates coming from travelling related companies
Experience creating consumer facing web applications
Proven track record of identifying & championing new technologies that enhance the end-user experience, software quality, & developer productivity
