In the testing role you will test our software and find important defects. You will develop an understanding of how our customers use our software and make sure future versions meet customer needs. You realize that you cannot test quality into a product and you will be a driver for improvement in software development processes. You will use tools to automate repetitive tasks whenever possible to increase productivity. You will need to develop expertise in using our software.
In this role you will lead testing projects. You will mentor and guide teams involved in software testing projects. As a hands-on member you will also perform testing tasks. There are opportunities for project management in this role depending on aptitude and interest.
RequirementsAt least three years experience in software or IT
Proven experience in software testing +- find important defects.
Experience creating test plans and testing scope
Strong experience with defect tracking tools
Experience creating test designs and detailed test cases
Understanding of software QA processes +- team roles, phases, exit criteria, reviews, inspections
Exposure to software metrics
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Good to haveExperience with project management of software testing +- weekly schedules, milestones, resource management
Experience interacting with software engineers, project managers, documentation writers.
Experience with globalization testing
Experience with test automation, performance testing, security testing
