Accountable for the implementation and support of customer application environments.
Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of common applications environments on behalf of our customers.
System architecture & design, system administration, application development, security, database administration and networking.
Root Cause diagnosis, analysis and reporting
Proactive patch management
Monitoring threshold and configuration analysis and implementation
Installation and initial configuration of new Application servers
Capacity planning and management
Application installation, configuration and tuning
Requirements:
Degree in IT or equivalent
Minimum 6 Years Experience with Microsoft Windows & .NET application servers. Some Linux/Unix experience preferred.
Possess skills in Microsoft IIS and .NET application servers and managing applications in a .NET environment; Windows Server 2008 and 2003, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008, Windows Clustering, Active Directory.
Good working knowledge and skills in IIS6 and multi-tier web applications; Group policies and their application; Windows Sharepoint Server, Windows Scripting (Batch, VBScript, Powershell)
Proficient in administration and management of hosted Windows computing environments.
Knowledge of how application tools and environments function in load balanced and clustered environments
Strong experience in operations
Experience application administration
Visual Studio developer experience a plus
