Responsibilities:
To provide technical actuarial support to marketing, operation and finance department
To develop and maintain system for valuation and reinsurance
To manage and review the reinsurance treaty
To produce statistics on the monthly and quarterly basis for statutory return and management reporting
To assist in special project assigned from time to time
To take lead in product development initiatives including market research, plan feature design, marketing material preparation etc.
To be responsible for selecting appropriate key assumptions, product pricing, profitability analysis, contract drafting, reinsurance arrangement etc.
To be responsible for system coding, testing, modification and maintenance of product
To design and manage the compensation scheme for distribution channel according to the various demands
To conduct necessary product management efficiently including financial analysis on products
To produce statistics on the monthly and quarterly basis for statutory return and management reporting
To perform an annual investigation into the financial condition in respect of the company’s long term business including a valuation of its liability and to prepare report on investigation, which is to be submitted to the Insurance Authority. The preparation of the report includes the preparation of the Forms L1, L2 and L3, M2, M3.
To perform an investigation of the future financial condition of Company’s long-term business under AGN7 and prepare a report on that investigation.
To assist in the drafting of the HKFRS disclosures which are to be included in the annual report.
Requirements:
ASA or equality credentials above
At least 5-8 years relevant experience with 3-4 years Takaful business experience in life insurance industry is preferable
A broad and comprehensive knowledge of life insurance product and channel’s compensation, and an understanding of compensation for advanced sales model
Mature, proactive and outgoing are the must-have personality
Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability is necessary
Adaptable, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced and frequently changing business environment
Ability to build strong relationships within and outside of the insurance organization
