Our client is the leading provider of life and pensions to Europe with substantial positions in other markets around the world. Their principal business activities are long-term savings, fund management and general insurance. The Company has grown tremendously to one of the largest provider of long-term regular savings products since their entry into Singapore less than 10 years ago.
Its successful Bancassurance business commands more than 50% market share of the regular savings market. In addition it is also a leader in the Third Party Financial Advisory (FA) and the Employee Benefits and Healthcare markets. Despite the market conditions, our client remains highly rated financially and continues to position themselves for more sustainable growth.
Our client is looking for a Regional Actuarial Consultant. Reporting to the Senior Manager you will manage peer review to the Business Units and consulting with relation to MCEV, Economic Capital, Prophet Models, Product development and pricing, Life reserving, Life Insurance Risk, Market risk, Derivative risk, Capital management, unit pricing, etc. The role will also take on responsibility for one or two countries in the Region, likely to be India and Sri Lanka. As a result of this coverage, traveling will be expected to these countries.
You should have the following pre-requisites:
• Actuarial experience of at least seven years in a life office
• Strong in Excel, capable in Word & Powerpoint
• PROPHET (or Mosys) hands on experience of at least three years
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Good communicator, and keen to work outside actuarial comfort zone
• Able to manage own time effectively and flexibly.
While full Actuary qualifications is not required, you should be near qualified from the Australian, US or UK systems.
