The Client

Our client is a world-renowned healthcare organisation which takes pride in the delivery of flexible and innovation solutions. Due to business requirements, they are seeking a suitably qualified individual to join them as Asia Commercial Desk Manager.

The Position

The Commercial Manager, Asia position is a high visibility role which will work across a varied cross-matrix organisation to win new business and retain / grown existing ones. You will create winning quotes that protect / improve grow margins, provide pricing alternatives to Business Development / Sales, assist with contract terms and conditions and aim for contract management consistency.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

§ Provide leading role in the acquisition of new businesses and renewals by reviewing product mix opportunities, pricing and gross margin assumptions, utilisation rates and client specific requirements and then in partnership with various functions to deliver / develop non-standard offers to ultimately suit the client's needs whilst contributing towards results in accordance with group guidelines

§ Manage the availability and use of sales and claims information for performance analysis / renewals purposes

§ Manage and develop basic costing models to support pricing of new services / products

§ Lead process to improve sales administration throughout the region in order to ensure renewals are completed on time, service levels improve and renewal rates increased

§ Advise and support sales offices and operations departments on product enquiries

The Candidate

The ideal candidate should be tertiary qualified with five years of relevant experience in product development / underwriting / actuarial within the insurance industry. Candidates who are not from the insurance industry but have good experience in pricing analysis / cost modelling are also encouraged to apply.

In order to excel in this position, you should enjoy an external client facing role and is experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts / service agreements.
