Senior Manager Underwriting Financial Lines Our clients are a world renowned insurer with offices in Europe, America and Asia Pacific. Due to the increasing demand for underwriting personnel in Financial Lines they are currently seeking a senior individual to fill a role for Financial Line Underwriting Manager in Hong Kong

Main duties include:

-- Underwrite for Directors & Officers insurance, Crime and Employment Practices insurance.

-- To input specific relating issues to industry trends and specific needs to client base to assistthe profit

centre / regional managers in the development of strategic plans.

-- To implementing the action plans emanating from the strategic plans as directed bytheprofit centre /

regional managers.

-- Maintaining contact with peers within the industry.Establishing and fostering relationships with brokers, distribution partners and agents.

-- Identifying “first sign trends” in business submissions. Inputs are expected to be provided to the profit centre manager on areas where business should be grown or restricted.

-- He/She will be engaged in identifying risk factors both locally and abroad, planning and implementation of new products, and developing underwriting guidelines

-- He/She will monitor and expand existing distribution and will actively seek alternative distribution methods

Requirements:

-- University graduate in a insurance or financial risk field

-- Minimum7 years in Financial Lines experience in Directors & Officers insurance, Crime and Employment Practices underwriting exeperience

-- Should have attained or working towards some professional insurance qualifications, e.g. ACII. ANZII

-- Team player with good communication and analytical skills

-- Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese is a must

-- Willing to relocate to Hong Kong
