Group Infrastructure Engineer - Team Lead Job Responsibilities

The candidate’s primary focus is the architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, support and security of the critical Wintel infrastructure. This includes:

Providing 3rd tier support to various site/regional administrators.
Design, architecture, deployment, administration, support and upgrades of infrastructure related projects­ e.g. Exchange Messaging platform, Active Directory, VMWare/Server Virtualisation and Wintel in general.
Track and provide daily/weekly/monthly report on performance and system availability in accordance to KPI
Identifying infrastructure components that can be transformed to technical solutions or processes
Managing relationships with external vendors and internal customers.


Job Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering
Microsoft MCSE 2000 or 2003 + Messaging (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) Professional Experience/ ITIL Foundation
5-7 years experience in system administration of mission-critical 24/7 redundant Microsoft systems including with 2-3 years experience in the following: Strong background in managing medium to large scale Wintel servers (>500 servers) would be an asset
Experience in managing enterprise scale Active Directory infrastructure.
Prior experience in Multi-site Exchange migration, deployment and consolidation projects.
Hands-on in clustering and NLB especially in Exchange 2000/2003 context.
Knowledge of Symantec Enterprise Vault for mail archival is a plus.
Knowledge of MS Live Communication Server is a plus
Knowledge of ISA Server administration and application publishing is an added plus.
Knowledge of EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) setup & administration
Familiarity with monitoring systems, such as SCOM/MOM/Argent is an added plus.
Knowledge of fax gateway is an added plus.
Knowledge of other emerging technologies such as VMWare, SCOM, etc. Project Management Tasks: Research, plan, and implement all messaging related projects in accordance and in support of business needs, goals, and objectives.
