The Client
Our client is an international bank with a strong franchise which combines an in-depth knowledge of local markets, with global product expertise to offer effective financial solutions. Coupled with an aggressive growth strategy, they are looking to hire professionals with investment banking expertise to join their ranks.
The Position
Working on the Energy Resource & Mining portfolio, or Transport (Airlines) & Infrastructure portfolio, supporting senior staff on transaction origination and execution
Financial modeling
Preparation and presentation of information memoranda, pitch books, presentations, prospectuses, fairness opinions (including valuation), other forms of reports or BCAs under the supervision of Directors
Carry out due diligence
Assist in structuring transactions
Collect, review and analyze financial and other information from multiple sources
Sector and client research
Contribute to the sourcing of new ideas
The Candidate
You are required to possess a strong record of achievements in academics and employment in a corporate finance function.
Candidates should have a Bachelors/ Masters/ CPA degree from a good university and grades placing him / her in the top 10 percentile
Min. 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking
Transactional experience in Energy Resource & Mining portfolio, or Transport (Airlines) & Infrastructure portfolio will be preferred but not compulsory
Superior analytical aptitude, creative problem solving abilities and excellent communication skills
Key skills include:
-- ability to work with Excel spreadsheets
-- familiarity with other key software such as Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, etc
-- generate prospectuses/ information memoranda/ investment teasers/ pitch books
-- general industry/ country/ company researches
-- ability to perform Discounted Cash Flow and other forms of valuation
