Singapore - Business Analyst, Singapore Systems Support

Systems Support / Business Analyst, Singapore Overview:

The Systems Support /Business Analyst, Singapore is responsible for supporting and overseeing the development and enhancement of GroupM’s applications across the company’s offices in Singapore. The focus of the position is on ensuring an effective, consistent and stable application is in place that adheres to GroupM’s global standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

The role has the following responsibilities:

Installation, Support, and Training
Business Analysis
Administration
End user support
Installation, Support and Training:

-- Assume responsibility for providing first tier support for GroupM applications.

-- Provide telephone and on-site application support, training and consulting services.

-- Attempt to analyze the cause of all problems and either provide the End Users with a solution, workaround, or raise a development request or WIP task to development team for finding a solution.

-- Keep the End Users regularly and fully informed of progress if issues are unable to be resolved immediately.

-- Ensure the Business Analyst / Project Manager, QA and Development Teams are kept informed of all significant End User issues.

-- Participate in a weekly application status review meeting.

-- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the applications from an End User’s perspective +- how each function operates, the available options, the implications of certain fields, reporting options and formats, etc.

-- Maintain a documentation set for installation, support and training, etc.

-- Hold preliminary planning meeting(s) with the Business Analyst / Project Manager and End User Representatives to produce a detailed implementation plan.

-- Provide planning, implementation, data loading, training and support tasks required to successfully complete implementations.

-- Identify all tasks required to successfully complete the implementation and determine who is responsible for completing them.

-- Ensure the detailed implementation plan (including schedule) is documented, and distributed to the End User Representatives and other relevant GroupM staff (IT Manager/Director, Infrastructure Team, Business Analyst / Project Manager, etc). Ensure the End User Representatives are aware of their responsibilities and the additional workload during the installation phase.

-- Monitor the progress of the implementation tasks, update the implementation plan and distribute to the End User Representative, and other relevant GroupM staff on a regular basis.

-- Organise and attend regular WIP meetings with client key contact to review the progress of the implementation. Prepare Contact Reports for all End User WIP meetings and distribute to the End User Representatives and other relevant GroupM staff.

-- Ensure the Business Analyst / Project Manager and your Media Systems Manager are informed of all significant implementation issues.

-- Manage End Users’s expectations if development requests arise during installation phase.

Business Analysis:

-- Assume responsibility for all business analysis tasks. This includes:

-- Liaise with the End User Representatives to identify, quantify and document requirements

-- Prepare detailed business and functional requirements specifications for all major enhancements to GroupM applications.

-- Facilitate the review and sign-off of requirements specifications/technical Specifications with the End User Representatives.

-- Assist the Business Analyst / Project Manager, QA and Development Teams with queries concerning required functionality or in understanding requirements specifications, so they are in a position to develop detailed technical specifications.

-- Review the technical specifications produced by the Development Team to ensure that the technical specifications address the needs documented in the requirements specifications.

-- Facilitate the review and sign-off of technical specifications with the End User Representatives.

-- Participate in functional and software integration testing, with particular emphasis on the review of implemented functionality against requirements and technical specifications.

-- Liaise with the Business Analyst / Project Manager, QA and Development Team regarding bugs and other issues arising from testing.

-- Review new functionality with End User Representatives and keep them informed on development schedule.

-- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the documentation which will form the basis of user documentation, help text and release notes for our applications.

-- Participate, with the Business Analyst / Project Manager, End User Representatives and Development Team, in the assessment and prioritization of development requests for allocation to software releases.

-- Assist the Business Analyst / Project Manager, QA and Development teams in the identification of changes that will increase the quality and effectiveness of our applications.

Administration:

Ensure that the Issue Management System is maintained for all long running development and support activities that overlap with your area of responsibility.
Handle end user IT issue and raise to appropriate IT personnel as required.
