KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with local and regional legal, compliance and risk management work
General legal work including but not limited to management of external lawyers, drafting, vetting contracts and opinions, managing and resolving commercial and labour disputes, and handling various administrative matters,
Compliance work including but not limited to conducting investigations, writing reports, developing, evaluating, rolling out, managing and reporting on implementation of, Group Compliance requirements in Asia, giving support to other Operating Entity's on Group and local compliance issues.
Risk management work including but not limited to teaming up for risk diagnostics, conducting compliance reviews, scheduling and leading top risk assessment workshops and providing general support,
M&A work including but not limited to supporting due diligence, and other general legal services in this context as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified Law degree with least 3 years experience in the areas of M&A, Bancassurance, Insurance, Company law, Commercial and Employment law for the financial services industry or compliance in insurance industry
High degree of personal integrity
Very good English language and drafting skills
Customer focused and able to deliver timely, sound results and a hands on person
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work with all levels of seniority, including Group Management Board members, diverse cultures and nationalities
Knowledge in SOX compliance is an added advantage
Willing to travel
