KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops relationships with and seeks business flow from retail brokers in coordination with underwriters and other broker initiatives
Acts as the primary conduit at the IRI Japan for assigned target accounts
Analyses and assesses technical (re) insurability regarding exposures and coverages on new offers and renewal submissions
Prepares quotations, structures programs, and offers proposals in accordance with guidelines, in a first phase in cooperation with the Singapore underwriting team
Uses the company's tools and systems for the development of terms and conditions
Enters and maintains risk information into the various information systems and administers the accounts
Participates in deal teams to execute transactions
Supports the set-up of the local presence and license filing in Japan, especially
1)describes and documents underwriting procedures
2)works out and documents policies
3)represents the business / underwriting perspective in the IT system developments
4)contributes to the definition and documentation of risk management and claims handling procedures
5)coordinates these contributions with the underwriting teams and other unites in Singapore and HQ in Europe
Cooperates closely and works in an integrated way with Products, IP underwriters as well as Nat Cat specialists
Contributes to other project work and accepts special assignments
REQUIREMENTS:
Academic degree in a related field with several years of experience in either property or casualty
Japanese language is a prerequisite with a good command of English
Experience in business origination, marketing and business development
People leadership experience is required
Ability to build up and cultivate and extensive network to senior managers/risk managers of large Asian Corporates
Take personal responsibility and in persistent in all his/her strategies and actions (internal and external)
Willing to relocate to Japan eventually
